Hello!
As some of you may know, "Peaches" (our Skipper) has been out-of-action for a few weeks for medical reasons. Yes, he's doing fine and recovering well! Since I've been running things in his absence, he's asked me to make this month's report to you.

This past month, Sea Scouts hosted the monthly Log Bending at the Inland Fish & Game Conservation Club. We barbequed (after an hour or so of trying to find the propane tanks) and held a "Raingutter Regatta" (after an hour or so of trying to set up the course!). Arrowhead's Lee Tracy's Kahsule won the regatta, and Aleq (of our Learning for Life crew) won the "best dressed" award for his boat, Sea Dogs. You can see photos of the day here.

Our Sea Scout and Learning for Life crews also posted and retired the colors at the District Spring Conference in Palm Springs on Saturday, March 14.

In the upcoming months, some our Sea Scouts will be attending the Paddler's Cruise, completing America's Boating Course, and staffing an event booth at the Splash! Festival. Be sure to join us!

New Year (kinda), New Site! I apologize for how long our site went without an update. Our new Ship's Calendar and the March Log Bending Photo Album are now online. I hope our members will make good use of it, and all our other online resources, during the upcoming year.

[At] the Log Bending, we had about 20 from the Squadron and I would judge 5 or 6 from the Ship. I had a chance to meet Monica, a real nice Lady. I believe I had meet her Husband Mark at one of the Jackets for Life occasions at Lake Perris. I wanted to thank her for being the person in charge as to what to bring and taking care of the cooking and serving, but it escaped me upon my leaving. Lee Tracy won the regatta. Three contestants, Lee, Ray Edwards and a youngster [Aleq] whom I assume is with the Sea Scouts.
